The Cosmopolitan, a luxury resort and casino, opened on December 15, 2010.  Construction had started in October, 2005.  Originally, the Cosmopolitan was to feature a mix of residential condos and hotel rooms, however, the economy changed those plans.

"WOW!" is the only word that comes to mind when viewing the Chandelier on the 2nd floor--where stores and shops are located.

Decorative neon lights and signs were lit on the buildings at night, giving indications that the Cosmopolitan was almost ready to open.  The Cosmopolitan was projected for an opening date of December 15, 2010.  Picture taken October 23, 2009.
