Fremont Street Experience

In an effort to revitalize the downtown area and compete with the entertaiment value provided on the Strip, Las Vegas closed-off and covered-over Fremont Street during the mid-90's with a most dazzling video show and display.

Once an hour during the evening, the light sof Glitter Gulch go out and the spectacle begins.  All one has to do is look overhead

Several shows rotate through the evening.  In this photo from 2007, aliens from nearby Area 51 are invading Las Vegas!

When the show starts, everone on the pedestrian mall stops what they are doing and looks up!  The Fremont Street Experience is a "must see" for the first-time Las Vegas visitor. For more photos and video of the Fremont Street Experience, click here.
