Gold Coast opened in December, 1986 and was the second casino to open west of I-15 following Palace Station.

Considered a "locals" casino, Gold Coast is owned by Boyd Gaming.  It is one of several casinos found in a cluster of resorts on Flamingo--making the area a second "Strip".
