Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino

(formerly Terrible's)

Located at the corner of Flamingo and Paradise Rds, the Silver Sevens (formerlyTerrible's) is an affordable "locals" casino.  It started out as the Continental Hotel and Casino in 1975.  The property was sold to the Herbst family in November, 1999 and after some demolition and construction, re-opened as Terrible's Hotel and Casino in December 2000.  The casino is 35,000 sq ft and the hotel has 370 rooms.  The name was changed to Silver Sevens following an 18-month, $7 million renovation.  The old Terrible's sign (seen here) has been donated to the Neon Museum as part of Las Vegas' history.

A view of the gaming facility on the first floor from the escalator.

On the second floor are more slot machines and the buffet.  For $10 or less (a player's card may provide a discount), a fairly decent meal can be enjoyed.
